Having been a bit distracted the past few weeks my fishing has taken a back seat. Not to say I haven't been thinking about it, that, I have been doing quite a bit. Planning trips for various species but also I have been thinking soft plastics and brands.
Bait Breath are but one, but a very good one and before someone says it, yes bait breath happens to be one of the brands Lure Heaven UK distributes and therefore a brand I get to test. This how ever has not influenced me on my findings or this blog.
I have slowly worked my way through my box of lures, every pattern and colour available from the Bait Breath catalogue. I wish this was the case but this is the real world and I would not expect that and certainly wouldn't ask for that. After all what is available is quite staggering.
I have however been very kindly supplied with a few patterns and colours and after using these for the past 6 months thought it was about time I shared my favorite three.
Bait Breath Needle Real Fry
Now this has to be one of the best all round lures I have ever used. This has caught me most of the mini species that lurk in the cracks and crevices of our shore line as well as larger pollock, wrasse and even bass (albeit a small one). They come in a good variety of colours including a few that glow, my two favorite are the red above and the bright pink. A must in my opinion for any LRF's arsenal.
Bait Breath Moysa
With all the ribs legs and tentacles the Moysa are quickly becoming one of my favorite wrasse lures, along with the likes of Gary Yamamoto Senko's and the Bait Breath Bugsy's. The amount of vibration these must give off certainly stir up some fish when other lures are failing, In fact these have been blank savers for me on a few occasions.
Bait Breath BeTanCo Curly Tail
Now this is one I have used far more in fresh water than in salt but I have had success in both. I've had a few wrasse on these but feel these are better suited for pollock and bass in salt but probably even more at home for perch and pike in the fresh stuff. Having caught a few pike and perch on them I like to insure I have some for every perch and pike trip.
Work very well with a spinner blade to!
Just in case anyone was wondering what has been distracting me. Here is a short video.
Just like to add that is my mate Tim asking for his mum and sorry about my swearing.
