Now with December being a complete wash out and more floods in a month than I have seen in my life, I found myself looking back over blogs and websites trying to better the little knowledge I already have.
I wasn't searching for anything in-particular but just browsing and hoping to stumble across a new site or some new information.
There were two things that got me thinking.
With the water colour all around chocolate and visability only a few inches, I started to think about Will Harding, not in the way Matt Newcombe might but something Will wrote in his blog. He wrote about mixing up LRF/HRF with bait fishing especially for Wrasse and Flounder.
I wondered whether this could give you the edge you would need in these poo conditions…?
Working rag worm in much the same way as lures and covering as much ground as possible has to be a winner in tough conditions and something I will be giving a go in the not too distant future.
The other little gem I stumbled across may not be new. It’s something I actually read about 7 months ago, although I didn’t understand half of it then, I now do and it makes sense. I think anyone interested in lure fishing especially soft plastics should have a read. I am of course talking about The Rockfish Files.
There are three issues in total that I am aware of and they are all worth a read, especially while the weather is crap. There is a heap load of tips and information in there and not too many adverts but best of all they are free and can be viewed here.
